MicroLog (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application for microgreens production tracking.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Data

We do not require you to create an account to use MicroLog. We do not collect personal information such as:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Physical address

unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by contacting us via email).

1.2 App Data (Trays, Harvests, Inventory)

All data you enter in MicroLog — including tray records, harvest logs, inventory items, customer information, and grow space configurations — is stored locally on your device using a local database.

We don’t:

• Upload your data to our servers
• Access your production data
• Analyze your usage for advertising purposes

Your production data remains private and under your control.

1.3 Firebase Authentication

MicroLog uses Firebase Authentication for user account management.

• If you sign in with email/password, your email is stored by Firebase
• If you sign in anonymously, no personal information is associated with your account
• Authentication data is handled by Firebase according to Google’s privacy policy

1.4 Camera Access

MicroLog does not use camera access. Photo-related features have been removed from the application.

1.5 Notifications

MicroLog sends local notifications to remind you about:

• Tray harvest timing
• Watering schedules
• Stagger planting reminders

Notification permissions are managed through your device’s operating system.

2. Data Storage and Security

2.1 Local Storage

All production data (trays, harvests, inventory, customers) is stored locally on your device using SQLite.

2.2 Firebase Data

If you sign in with Firebase Authentication:

• Authentication credentials are stored by Firebase
• We do not have access to your authentication tokens or personal data stored by Firebase

2.3 Data Retention

When you delete the app, all local data is removed from your device. Note: Firebase authentication data is retained according to Firebase/Google policies.

2.4 Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the app from unauthorized access. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Firebase

MicroLog uses the following Firebase services:

• Firebase Authentication (user account management)
• Firebase Cloud Firestore (optional cloud sync)

These services are governed by Google’s privacy policies.

3.2 App Store Distribution

The app may be distributed through:

• Apple App Store (iOS)
• Google Play Store (Android)

These platform providers have their own privacy policies.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties except:

• When required by law
• If necessary to protect our legal rights

Since production data is stored locally on your device, we generally do not have access to your content.

5. Children’s Privacy

MicroLog is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data
• Request deletion of personal data
• Withdraw consent

Since production data is stored locally on your device, most data remains fully under your control. You can export or delete your data by uninstalling the app (local data) or deleting your Firebase account (authentication data).

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with a new “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
