ReelCut Video Editor · Last updated 3 August 2026
ReelCut does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. Your videos, photos, and audio never leave your device through ReelCut.
None. ReelCut contains no server, no login, and no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The app makes no network requests of its own, so there is nothing for us to receive, store, or share. We cannot see your projects, your media, or how you use the app.
| Data | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Projects, imported clips and photos, exported videos | The app's private storage area on your device, inside the app sandbox |
| Voiceover recordings | The same project storage, alongside the project they belong to |
| Caption text generated from your audio | Saved in the project file as text overlays |
| App preferences (for example haptics on or off) | Standard iOS app preferences storage |
| Crash and performance diagnostics from Apple's MetricKit | Stored locally under Application Support and never uploaded. They contain Apple-provided metrics only — no media, no project names |
Deleting a project removes its media from the app's storage. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Each permission is requested only when you first use the feature that needs it, and every one of them can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings. Denying a permission disables that feature; the rest of the app keeps working.
ReelCut does not collect, generate, process, store, or transmit face data or any other biometric data. The app performs no face detection, face tracking, face recognition, face landmark or face mesh analysis, face-based effects, beautification, face filters, or age or emotion estimation. It does not use ARKit face tracking, the TrueDepth camera, Face ID authentication, the Vision framework's face APIs, or any comparable technology, and it contains no third-party SDK that does. The app has no camera capture feature at all: video and photos are imported only from the items you select in your Photo Library, and they are treated purely as image and audio frames for editing.
Because no face data is ever created, none is shared with third parties, none is stored anywhere (on device or on any server), and there is no retention period — the retention period is zero. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before such a feature ships, and the app will ask for your explicit consent.
ReelCut has no third-party SDKs and shares nothing with anyone. When you tap Share or Save, iOS hands your exported file to the destination you choose — Photos, Messages, another app. What happens after that is governed by that app or service's own privacy policy, not this one.
Apple may collect information about app installs, crashes, and purchases through the App Store under Apple's privacy policy. That relationship is between you and Apple.
ReelCut is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request. All of your ReelCut data is under your control on your own device. If you have a question about this, email us and we will answer.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
