Privacy Policy Last updated: February 16, 2026 This Privacy Policy describes how Document Scanner (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. Document Scanner is designed with privacy in mind. Your documents remain under your control.
1.2 Documents and Scanned Content All scanned documents, images, OCR results, and edited files are stored locally on your device. We do not: Upload your documents to our servers Access your scanned content Analyze your files for advertising purposes Your documents remain private unless you choose to export or share them.
1.3 Camera Access Document Scanner requires access to your device’s camera to scan documents. Camera data is processed on-device. Images are not transmitted to external servers.
1.4 Photos / Gallery Access If you choose to import images or save scans to your gallery, the app may request access to your photo library. Access is only used for the selected images. We do not scan or analyze your entire gallery.
1.5 Face ID / Touch ID If you enable App Lock, the application may use: Face ID Touch ID Biometric authentication is handled securely by Apple. We do not access or store your biometric data.
OCR Processing The OCR (Optical Character Recognition) feature extracts text from images. Text recognition is processed locally on your device. Extracted text is not stored on external servers. We do not use your OCR data for analytics or profiling.
How We Use Information We only use limited technical information (if applicable) to: Improve app performance Fix bugs Maintain security We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
Data Storage and Security Your documents are stored locally on your device. We implement reasonable security measures to protect the app from unauthorized access. If you enable App Lock, your documents are protected by your device’s security system. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Third-Party Services Document Scanner may use Apple-provided services for: App Store distribution

Since documents are stored locally, we generally do not have access to user content.
Children’s Privacy Document Scanner is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.
